A water pump is a mechanical device that transfers liquid from one place to another, widely used in fields such as construction, agriculture, industry, and households. According to its working principle and structure, water pumps can be divided into the following types:
Centrifugal pump: Centrifugal pump is one of the most common types of pumps, which uses centrifugal force to move liquid into pipelines or containers by rotating impellers. Due to its simple design, easy installation and operation, centrifugal pumps are widely used.
Positive displacement pump: A positive displacement pump moves liquid by changing the volume inside the pump chamber. Common types include plunger pumps, gear pumps, and screw pumps.
Axial flow pump: Axial flow pump, also known as propulsion pump, moves liquid along the axis direction towards a pipeline or container. Axial flow pumps are typically used in applications that require high flow rates and low head.
Mixed flow pump: The mixed flow pump combines the characteristics of centrifugal pump and axial flow pump, pushing the liquid along the axis while also rotating along the inner wall of the pump casing. Mixed flow pumps are typically used in applications with larger flow rates and smaller head.

Each type of water pump has its unique advantages and applicable scenarios. When choosing a water pump, it is necessary to select the appropriate type based on specific application requirements.
